Transforming the skills and know-how of rural women into better-organized, more productive economic activities capable of creating lasting value within local communities.

The World Association for Development (AMD) considers strengthening women’s economic capacities to be one of the most effective levers for reducing poverty and stimulating community development. It is in this context that it implements a programme to support the strengthening of production capacities among women’s groups, particularly in rural areas and the most vulnerable communities.

Through this programme, AMD supports women’s associations and groups by providing them with production equipment adapted to their activities, as well as training designed to strengthen their technical and entrepreneurial skills. The objective is to enable them to sustainably improve their productivity, the quality of their products and their economic autonomy.

Beneficiaries receive training in several areas that are essential to the development of their activities, including administrative management, accounting, finance, marketing, communication, quality management, organizational management and other skills essential to the sustainability of their economic initiatives.

AMD also supports these groups in their organizational structuring, professionalization and access to markets. By improving their management capacities and competitiveness, the Association enables them to develop their activities, increase their income and create greater value within their communities.

The support provided has enabled participants to better organize the operation of their groups, apply management tools to their activities and improve the quality of their production. This progress supports better product valorization, facilitates access to new markets and gradually strengthens the role of women in local economic dynamics.

In the longer term, this programme promotes the gradual transformation of production groups into more structured economic organizations capable of creating jobs, contributing to the development of local economies and, as they formalize and grow, contributing to the economic development of their country.

The sustainability of the programme also relies on the adoption of more responsible production practices, the reduction of losses, proper maintenance of equipment and the rational use of available resources. By strengthening the capacity of groups to anticipate climate-related and economic risks, AMD promotes business continuity, the preservation of livelihoods and the resilience of rural economies.
