Global Program for Agriculture and Food Security Development Support

The Global Program for Agriculture and Food Security Development Support is the sectoral framework through which the World Association for Development (WAD) structures its action in favour of sustainable, resilient, and inclusive agricultural and food systems.

The Program supports States and their partners in the transformation of agricultural and food policies in order to durably strengthen food and nutritional security, improve the livelihoods of rural populations, and support the economic development of territories.

The Program intervenes notably in the areas of institutional capacity-building, the modernisation of production systems, the development of agricultural and food value chains, the sustainable management of natural resources, climate resilience, and food security for vulnerable populations.

Through this programmatic approach, WAD aims to reinforce the coherence of agricultural and food interventions, to support more sustainable development models, and to promote trajectories capable of reconciling productivity, social inclusion, territorial resilience, and environmental sustainability, in alignment with national priorities and international commitments relating to sustainable development and food security.
