The Global Observatory for Planning and Foresight

The Global Observatory for Planning and Foresight is dedicated to strengthening strategic planning, long-term thinking and anticipatory governance in the face of complex global transitions. It explores economic, social, demographic, technological, climate and geopolitical shifts in order to help decision-makers better understand risks, identify future scenarios and design more coherent public policies.

Through foresight studies, scenario-building, strategic monitoring, long-term indicators and institutional capacity-building, the Observatory supports governments, institutions and development actors in moving from reactive decision-making to informed anticipation. Its work makes planning and foresight essential tools for resilience, policy coherence, intergenerational responsibility and sustainable development.
