The Global Observatory for Food Security and Nutrition addresses the challenges linked to hunger, malnutrition, food access and the sustainability of food systems worldwide. It examines food production, distribution, affordability, nutritional quality, food safety, supply vulnerabilities, crisis preparedness and the resilience of agricultural and market systems.

By combining data monitoring, food foresight, early-warning mechanisms, research, technical cooperation and policy support, the Observatory helps institutions and development actors strengthen responses to food insecurity and improve access to healthy and sufficient nutrition. Its work makes food security and nutrition essential pillars of human dignity, public health, social justice, food sovereignty and sustainable development.
